These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to the website deeplearnacademy.one and your enrolment in vocational training programmes offered by DeepLearnAcademy Inc. ("DeepLearnAcademy," "we," or "us"). By using our website or enrolling in a programme, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use our services.
1. About DeepLearnAcademy
DeepLearnAcademy Inc. is an Ontario corporation (BN 837058392NS0001) providing structured courses in deep learning, generative AI, neural network engineering, and related artificial intelligence disciplines. We are a vocational training academy — not a university conferring degrees, not a SaaS vendor, not an AI consulting or corporate implementation agency, and not a generic coding bootcamp without AI specialisation.
2. Educational nature and disclaimers
Programmes deliver instructional content, laboratory exercises, instructor feedback, and assessment. Certificates of completion document satisfactory participation in defined coursework. They do not guarantee employment, salary increases, professional licensure, or recognition by third-party credentialing bodies unless explicitly stated in signed programme documentation.
Learning outcomes depend on prerequisites met, practice time, individual aptitude, and market conditions. When we reference "neural" or "deep learning," we mean computational models in machine learning and artificial intelligence — not neuroscience therapy, brain training, mental wellness, or clinical neurology services.
Course materials may reference AI-assisted tools including large language models. You are responsible for verifying outputs and using tools ethically. We do not warrant uninterrupted availability of third-party AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude AI, or Google Gemini.
3. Website use
You may browse our website for lawful, personal, and non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:
- Attempt unauthorised access to systems, accounts, or lab environments;
- Introduce malware, scrape content at scale, or interfere with site operation;
- Misrepresent affiliation with DeepLearnAcademy;
- Submit false information through forms or enrolment applications;
- Reproduce substantial course materials without written permission.
We may suspend access for violations without prior notice where security is at risk.
4. Enrolment and eligibility
Enrolment is subject to availability, prerequisite verification, and acceptance at our discretion. You must provide accurate personal information and meet stated prerequisites — typically Python fundamentals for entry-level programmes. Misrepresentation of qualifications may result in dismissal without refund.
Tuition fees are listed in Canadian dollars (CAD) unless otherwise noted. Payment terms are specified in enrolment agreements. Failure to pay instalments may result in suspension from cohort sessions and lab access.
5. Refunds and cancellation
Unless superseded by a signed enrolment contract, our standard refund policy applies: full tuition refund minus a C$75 administrative fee for withdrawal at least fourteen days before cohort start; fifty percent refund within fourteen days before start; no refund after the first lecture except where Ontario consumer protection law requires otherwise. Corporate workshop bookings follow separate cancellation terms in the service agreement.
6. Intellectual property
Website content, curricula, lab notebooks, slide decks, and branding are owned by DeepLearnAcademy or our licensors. Enrolled learners receive a limited, non-transferable licence to use materials for personal educational purposes during and after enrolment. You retain ownership of original code you author in capstone projects subject to our right to display anonymised exemplars for educational marketing with your consent.
7. Conduct standards
Learners must treat instructors, staff, and peers respectfully. Harassment, plagiarism, sharing assessment solutions publicly, or attempting to compromise lab infrastructure violates academic integrity standards and may result in removal without refund.
8. Privacy
Personal information is handled per our Privacy Policy and PIPEDA. By submitting forms or enrolling, you consent to collection and use as described therein.
9. Third-party services
Programmes may integrate third-party platforms (cloud compute, version control, AI APIs). Your use of those platforms is subject to their terms. We are not responsible for third-party outages, pricing changes, or policy updates.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Ontario law, DeepLearnAcademy and its directors, instructors, and agents are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from website use or programme participation, including lost profits, lost data, or career outcomes. Our aggregate liability for direct damages shall not exceed tuition paid for the programme giving rise to the claim in the twelve months preceding the event.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, gross negligence, or death or personal injury caused by our negligence where exclusion is prohibited by law. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted.
11a. Warranty disclaimer
Website content and course materials are provided for educational purposes "as is" without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that programmes will produce specific career results, that third-party AI tools will remain available, or that every lab environment will be error-free at all times.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify DeepLearnAcademy against claims arising from your violation of these Terms, misuse of materials, or infringement of third-party rights through your capstone or lab submissions, except where caused by our breach.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts located in Ontario, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your province of residence.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms by posting revisions with a new effective date. Material changes affecting enrolled learners will be communicated by email where practicable. Continued website use after changes constitutes acceptance for browsing purposes; enrolled learners remain subject to the Terms in effect at enrolment unless they consent to updates.
14. Force majeure
We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, widespread internet outages, labour disputes, or government orders. Where cohort delivery is disrupted, we will offer rescheduled sessions or proportional remedies consistent with enrolment agreements and Ontario consumer law.
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, remaining provisions continue in full force. The invalid provision will be modified minimally to reflect the parties' original intent where possible.
16. Entire agreement
For enrolled learners, signed enrolment contracts and programme addenda supplement these website Terms. Where conflicts arise, signed enrolment documents prevail for tuition, delivery format, and assessment requirements. These Terms govern general website use and default policies where no signed contract exists.
17. Language
These Terms are drafted in English. French language rights in certain consumer contexts may apply under Ontario law; contact us to request clarifications in French where required.
18. Assignment
You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of substantially all assets, with notice to enrolled learners where required.
19. Dispute resolution
Before initiating formal proceedings, parties agree to attempt good-faith resolution by contacting [email protected] with a written description of the dispute. If unresolved within thirty days, either party may pursue remedies in Ontario courts subject to Section 12.
